Hey everyone,

On Sat I took him to pet smart to get his shots. The vet found a tumor in his mouth while he was looking him over. The vet at the pet smart said that the tumor is most likely benign... The vet also said that he heard a heart murmur.

Tomorrow I have made an appointment for him to have his teeth cleaned and the tumor removed. It will be biopsies, and he will have all his blood work done. And my parents have very kindly offered to pay for whatever he needs done.

I love this dog so much. I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and he is roughly 13 now. He is my best friend in the world. When all my other friends left he has always been there. More than half my life this little guy has been around.

Please don't get me wrong. He isn't sickly. Most people are truly surprised to find out he is 13. He still has lots of energy, and spirit. The vet said that for his age he is in wonderful condition. He said most dogs of his breed at his age have no teeth at all, so the simple fact that I need to have his teeth cleaned is fantastic. But I'm worried...
