Wal-mart issues

transpaoWell damn! I think I was just offered a job at Wal-Mart. If you've been reading my journal for any length of time you know I have ISSUES with Wal-Mart.
I didn't apply for the job. My Prof. just called me and said that there is an opening at the garden center in Rockmart. I really don't know much more than that.
Now theoretically I could work for the evil empire. I've thought about it before. It is possible to work for a company that goes against all your basic beliefs. I would just have to be disciplined enough to not shop with them. In this way I would solely be taking revenue away, sucking from and not feeding the beast. I have thus far not shopped with Wal-mart save for a car battery at midnight once when my car was broken down and there was no other option available and to have a check cashed on a weekend when no other place would do it, since 2003. I'm just not sure I could be faced with the store day in and day out... receive an employee discount on the already discounted merch, and keep my boy-cot alive and well. Those of you that really know me know that I'm really poor. I've been making under poverty level for several years running now, and I have still refused the temptation of the Wal-mart, but to tell you the bloody truth it isn't always easy.
The thing that has stopped me before from taking such a position is that I do not think I posses the strength of will to not constantly harp the customers about the atrocities of the store they are purchasing from. However I believe this would be less of a problem in garden center, though not totally.
I probably need to find out more about the job. Though I hate admitting I'm even bloody thinking about it.

Cons so far:
Working for a company I believe to be demoralizing the world, profiting from slave and sweat-shop labor, has violated unionizing rights of employees, killer of small towns and private businesses and I'm sure there is more...
