Black Bear Spotted in Roswell
Jun. 28th, 2007 04:21 pmROSWELL, Ga. (AP) -- Roswell Police are on the lookout for a small black bear spotted several times this week.
Police spokesman Lieutenant James McGee says the bear was first spotted at an Office Depot on Highway 9 and later by the Wal-Mart store.
McGee says traffic reportedly stopped at one point so the bear could cross the street.
The bear went into some nearby woods.
McGee says authorities are advising people to stay out of the bear's way and not to leave out food. McGee says he hopes the bear remains in the woods and heads up into the north Georgia mountains.
