I should not have read that.
Jan. 10th, 2008 03:50 amThere are days when the loneliness isn't the worst part...
I don't know why I have this obsession with reading news articles. It is something I've done for a long time and the Meredeth Emerson case has really hit home, so I've followed it very closely. Ever since the bloody clothes were found I get sick to my stomach when ever I read about it, but I can't seem to stop myself. The article today that again made me sick...
She was alive locked in a van while Hilton used the phone at a huddle house only hours before the GBI showed up with his picture.
He is now confirmed to have been in the national park in FL where the other woman was found murdered.
But worst of the Emerson related things I read today was on a hiker forum. I can only hope that it was some sick fuck trying to rial everyone but still... Some bastard had the audacity to post saying that "her hiking escorted = Asking for it" I can't believe I live in a world where someone actually thinks like that! That makes me so sick I can barely breathe thinking about it.
In other non-Emerson related news today there was a story about:
4 badly decomposed Youth bodies ranging in age from 5 to 18 in an apartment... The police were serving an eviction notice, a woman answered the door... in an upstairs room 4 badly decomposed bodies of children were found. None of which had been reported missing because none of them were enrolled with the school system.
A father in AL. confessed to throwing his four children off a BRIDGE because... he got into a fight with his wife!!!
You know I try and tell myself all the time that it isn't that the world has gotten worse it's only that we know more and are more connected so everyone knows about all the murders that we never knew about before. But some days I read shit like this and I'm just... there aren't really words.
Like I said I can't stop: But this one is sort of funny in a "Oh those silly heroin addicts kinda way"
