^ is an article about the bush administrations attempts at environmental stewardship. Fuck if I know what to believe about it. I mean the sound bites that the democrat was quoted as saying are little more then fluff. I mean he didn't give any numbers or facts. But honestly I think that politicians only care about the environment to try and win undecided voters towards the end. No one cares about it.
And in all honesty I really wish people would quite bothering with trying to get politicians to legislate on the environment and save it themselves. I mean take a little personal responsibility. I mean how mother fucking hard is it to toss your cig but in a trash can after you've stomped it out rather then just leaving it on the ground. I mean "OH MY GOD... I have to Bend over!!!"
How hard is it to bring cloth or some other form of reusable grocery bags to the store? It's not. Honestly it makes your work easier as they tend to hold 3 times as many groceries so there aren't as many trips back out to the car when you get home. I mean honestly 12000000 barrels of oil yearly to make plastic bags. YOU DON'T LIKE WAR FOR OIL THEN DON"T USE PLASTIC BAGS!
