Okay so like wow... I'm so glad I adopted this family. I talked to the mom, and she is so sweet. She thanked me over and over again. She told me that last sumer on of the kids was attacked by a dog and then this fall one of them was diagnosed with a heart murmer, and to top it all off the shop that the father works at is closing. Oh and the thing that botherd me the most is that one of the kids is getting made fun of at school because he wears the same clothes all the time... My little heart is all heavy...

I'm really excited though, because I went through a bunch of my e-bay and goodwill stuff that I haven't taken yet. I found several things tht I think they will really like. It's really rather pathetic most of the stuff around here is good stuff, we just tend to get tired of it before it gets even slightly worn.

In the box already:
3 beanie hats
2 ear muffler head band thingies
2 scarves I crochetted.
1 sample pack of cleaning solution.
1 sweater
1 red t-shirt
1 1x blue jean shirt
1 bookbag
Some wrapping stuff

Things I plan on adding:
at least two more scarves
one lavander bath basket w/ bath oil and bath salt and soap
One mint basket with mint soap, mint candle, and mint lip balm
one more beanie hat
one maybe two hacky sacks
a copy of the book Re/Uses
a hemp hooded sweater
I'm thinking of getting the girl a sweater or shirt or something too if I have the money... or I an find soemthing around here that will fit her.

I'm so excited... anyone have any suggestions?

I have a huge bag of things I have not taken to Goodwill in which there is a really good coat, a nice sweater, and a lot of other items as well. Also I have some stuffed animals and what not if you would like any of those as well just let me know Okay.
Sound cool what you are doing and if this will make their Christmas better then feel free to call me, I will be home all day tomorrow.

you know, the best part about this is the shift in thinking from their secondhand stuff as somehow being lesser, towards a viewpoint of shiny new and disposable being wasteful and arrogant.
My mom adopted a family through her work, I crochetted the little girls hats and purses. =)
(and I wish I hadn't just taken a load to goodwill, I probably had some stuff I could have given you for your teenager)

Thanx for the thought. Yeah. I've always been a bit of an odd ball around here. I started thrift store shopping at 13... That didn't go over well at first, but they warmed up to it when they realized tht I could buy a bag full of winter pants for $12s and then not care about cutting them off for shorts in the summer.

yay! Thanx.

Tomorrow being sunday?

I really need an extra large womens sweater. Or any womens clothes around a size 14. I'm sending the boys clothes and it would be nice if I could send the girl something too.

I think there is a lot of items in there you can see, most of it was mine so I think most of it is size 8, Medium there abouts.
I do have a kick ass brand new tigger sweat shirt that is of the size you need, it would so rock and is yours if you want it.

Well I have a few other people looking too. Lemme see what they coem up with. I wouldn't want to send off something you really like and just baught. I think there might be a lady that works at my dads office that is the same size so I'm hoping she has some stuff.
