They say that you're only supposed to work 20 hours of the weekend... Do they stick to that or do you end up having to work more than that? Some stuff I don't mind missing because I go mainly for the parties and concerts but I would like to do some of the costume stuff and maybe RPG stuff this year...
Well... *ahem* They give you the pass right out of the gate. So after my second shift, I just... sorta... didn't go. So I don't know. That was years ago, anyway.
I answered you on MySpace, but I'll answer you here, too. I love volunteering and so does Ken. This will be my 10th year and his 9th. But at this late date it will probably be either Security or Registration that you will have to work, and of those two, you might not mind being a door nazi during the day too much for security, or stuffing bags in registration. I've done both those things, and they weren't bad. As for missing seeing things, you just have to work your hours around what you want to see. I try to do most of mine in the morning and afternoon, and then I'm free for the main events at night.
