Hey garaynbow I was wondering if it would be possible to commission some of your work?

I'm redoing my house right now. (Its sort of a long story which is why I haven't really gotten into it on lj) My new bed room will have walls the color of sage leaves. (literally I picked sage leaves off my plant and matched them to pant chips.) It's called False Cypress and it's made by Behr.

The bed linens I've chosen are


"The Cat in the Window" and "The Tree" paintings are going up for sure, but my mom the interior decorator lady says I need another painting about the size of "The Tree" painting to make things look right.

I'm up for paypal or I could make you something and barter or just plain old mail you a check... if you aren't to busy already.

I don't really have a subject or anything in mind. Colors would be pretty open... ones I like best are purples, blues and greens, but red, oranges, yellows, and browns are in the room too.

okay I'mma go now and talk more about it if you actually say yes.

I say yes... can you give me the measurements of the canvas so I can figure out what I can do? Do you want another tree painting or something else? Let me know. We can do a paypal trans... and I'll be fair, don't worry :D

Here's a quicky photo I shot of the two I have with my cam phone.

The tree is 5"x7". But Doing something inbetween the the 5x7 and the 16x20 might work too...

I think mom is intending to hand them all clustered together because the backgrounds are similar but wanted a third to make it look even. I'm not sure if that requires that the third painting have dark purple around the edges or not.

I'm not sure if it would drive my mom nuts and/or just be way too cheesy to have you paint me a bat to hang with the black cat and the "spooky" tree.

I like Ivy plants a lot. perhaps Ivy in a terricotta pot... in front of something purple?

Or do you still have any of the other tree paintings left? Wast the purple tree part of a set?

Oh, and I think it probably should be something with a purple background if she's going for "even". The purple tree WAS part of a set, but the colors were all really different.

Mom said that the only two colors in the room/bed linens not already in the paintings are yellow and green. So either a Yellow moon with a purple sky (and maybe a bat?) Or some green ivy in a pot I guess a night sky could work for the purple back ground... but mostly I'm just throwing out ideas here... You have any feedback? What can you or would you want to do? I'll probably have some photos of the room after tonight, Would that help?

I definitely like the yellow moon/purple sky idea... I think it would definitely help to have pics of the room. I don't think you need to hit every accent color, though... that may be too busy. I mean, I'll do whatever you want, but I think the paintings should coordinate with each other and bring out one or two of the room accents.

As for the content, I think I could be creative and intertwine the moon, ivy, bat ideas all in one.

Ok... so the flooding of my freakin' basement took out the painting, however I still have the sketch, etc. so it won't take too long to finish up again... less than a week... I have not forgotten about you!
