They let me vote! Dunno if it was exactly legal, but I don't really care because it's not like anywhere near the amount of registered voters actually vote, and it is my legal right as a citizen over 18 that has not had a felony to be allowed to vote. the stupid address and ID restrictions are a bunch of crap unless you are voting on small local elections that only matter for your district.

One thing that has always bothered me a bit about primaries is the requirement to pick a party and that they only allow you to vote on party lines. I know there are lots of people who are strict party people who would vote for the worst choice of the opposite party, but I know people that do that anyway in the primary. I dunno it just seems like it would be a good idea to allow voters in the primary to vote on which people in each party they would like to have the chance to choose between come November.

It's probably just me though.

Oh trust me, I think one of the biggest problems in modern politics is the two party system we have ourselves stuck in. It's not an accurate reflection at all of people's real political beliefs. I always thought that if a person was independent then they should be allowed to vote in either primary. I mean sure, they should only be able to do it once but it's not like they couldn't figure out some way to keep them honest.

I'm glad you got to vote.
