So much to do
Mar. 15th, 2008 08:51 pmThere often seems to be so much I want to do and never enough time and motivation to do any of it.
There is a big part of me that wants to go to whatever the party is tonight at spring 4th because I haven't been able to go to anything recently because I am usually getting up early Saturday mornings to go on hikes. But I'd have to find something to wear, drive 40 miles, and I don't think I'll really know anyone once I get there. even the people I do know talk to me for like 5 mins then run off. Its so much easier when you actually have people to GO TO the club with. But I do hate that I haven't been out since October, at least in the clubbing sense. And I feel like I'm never going to meet people to go to the goth club with unless I go to the goth club and meet people.
I went on a short hike this morning with a couple members of the meetup group and my classmate/friend Kelly. It was nice It was a trail I'd been on a bit before, but it was pretty. We managed to get to the car just as the first drops of rain hit. Driving home we had to go around the long way because of tornadoes and such but it was pretty good.
I've spent most of the afternoon sleeping. I woke up and did a bit of research for my Ostra/Spring Equinox celebration. I've got a lot I'm planning for it. I'm actually pretty excited about it and Kelly is hopefully going to come over and take part, which will make it all the more fun.
I finished up the loom knitted belly band diaper thing for my dog. It fits him way better than the store bought ones, and so far it has worked nicely. he hasn't managed to pull it off and doesn't appear to be uncomfortable in it. Now I just have to see what happens when he pees. I'll post some photos of it soon.
My mom started calling from Greece repeatedly last night when the tornado hit the CNN center. funny thing is I didn't even know. I mean I knew the weather was bad and I was watching the big nasty red blob on weather.com radar. The sirens and things were going off like crazy over here about half an hour before, but its sort of funny that in our modern world my mom in Greece knew the CNN center was hit by a tornado before I did 40 miles away.
Got into a bit of a tift with my friend Amber the day before yesterday. I was going to pay her to come help me clean my house and she said when we talked around 3pm she'd call me after she finished cooking dinner later. I said cool and headed off to work. Well my dumb ass forgot my phone and I figured that she wouldn't drive 20 minutes to come over without actually speaking to me first. Well she did call me at about 8:30. But she just left me a message that she was on her way and drove all the way to my house. Well I didn't get off work until after 9pm and she had gone home. Now she is all pissed at me that she wasted her gas money! But mostly I don't feel that bad because I think it was foolish of her to drive over without speaking to me first. And Earlier in the day I had told her I would give her the gas money when she came into town to pick up her daughter without her even doing anything. I was really being generous with the whole come help me clean house and I'll pay you $50 so you can pay your cellphone bill.
