Well I'm beat.
Woke up at about 7:45 hopped into the shower.
Kelly got here at 9.
We cooked for like ever.
I think we ended up not getting to the ritual until 2pm.
I officially screwed up this rite.
Never in my past have I ever forgotten to call the circle, but I guess there is a first time for everything... eeep! I didn't realize until about halfway through the ritual. Something felt wrong and it dawns on me that I never called the circle.
I also forgot to bring the offering in the circle with me... so I was all like "er dinner's gunna be outside after the ritual gods." But I've goofed that one before too.
I hope
moonfire_77 doesn't have a totally bad idea about ritual after all my screw-ups. She said she had a good time and learned a lot (I made sure to at least tell her that when I screwed up so hopefully she didn't learn all the wrong things) But then again I'm not sure she's the type of gal who'd tell me if she thinks something I did sucked. She's way sweet like that.
Lots of food left over. I'll probably take it over to my mom's for easter if she comes back to the states in time.
I'm also really proud of myself for actually doing all the dishes we messed up today and not leaving them in the sink until they molds.
moonfire_77 Gave me a really great idea for my annuals and perennials ID list I've got to learn in like a week. It really should have dawned on me a while ago, but for some reason I hadn't thought of it. I spent an hour or two tonight making a Powerpoint with photos of the plants, Latin name and common name. Sadly it's slow going, but it looks like it will really help me at least get an idea of the plants.
I'm probably going to go walk on my $20 treadmill for a bit, and then probably go to sleep... and depends on if I get sweaty or not if I bathe between the two.
