man I didn't even go to work today and I am sore and wiped out!

Why, you ask?

Went to the Allergy and Asthma center today.

Went over a patient history which took ages.

Had a lung function test. took a couple puffs of an inhaler and repeated the lung function test.

Then the doc ordered a skin prick test for allergies. Which I FAILED. Not sure why, but even the control group that should have reacted as long as I've not taken any antihistamines in 5 days didn't bother to react.

So we had to do things the hard way. They gave me 1 histamine shot under the skin to see if it would react. It did so I then received 13 more shots to test different allergies. I only had three come up positive, trees, a mold, and dust mites.

The doc said he thought I was going to have a lot more reactions, and thinks the hives and facial swelling aren't allergic. He ordered about a billion other tests on me though. He thinks I have some sort of immune issue. he even ordered a hepatitis test and would have ordered an HIV test but is from New York and was under some sort of impression hat he couldn't order it and that I had to go have some special counseling to even get an HIV test... which is not the case here in GA. I'm pretty damn sure I've had HIV tests done and I'm pretty sure they were all negative, but I figured there is no hurt in getting it done again.

He wrote me an inhaler, an advair discus, and an epi pin. I go back in two weeks

I've scheduled my annual with Doc Ortenzi the same day and I'm going to try to see Doc Rad that day too... it will be another long day of being poked and prodded.

I then went to the hospital and had all the lab work he ordered done. I swear they took like 8 or 9 vials of blood from me. I'm surprised I didn't pass out!
