So I keep my mouth shut for the most part when it comes to campaigning. I personally believe in the silent ballot. It was dear friends of mine on both sides that have thoroughly convinced me that no one needs to fucking know who I'm voting for. Few people listen to each other and there for it isn't really debating but arguing and I have no intention of arguing with people about what they believe, mainly because the problem is that most of what they believe is just that a belief, some idea with no real proof any more substantial than a politicians promise, and therefor isn't grounds for dispute. Anyway off my soapbox...

I'm still not going to get into specifics about who I will be voting for, but I do want to yet again urge all of you to visit

http://www.votesmart.org

You will be AMAZED at the information you find out about candidates.

Both McCain and Obama refused to take the political courage test and actually tell anyone what they stand for.

There are 3 amendments to the Georgia constitution that will be on the GA ballot this election.

  • SR 996 To authorize local school districts to use tax funds for community redevelopment purposes.
  • SR 309 To authorize the creation of special Infrastructure Development Districts providing infrastructure to underserved areas.
  • HR 1276 To encourage the preservation of Georgia's forests through a conservation use property tax reduction program.

Also if you are normally a libertarian... I urge you to really look at what Barr really stands for. in 1996 he tried to have wicca and witchcraft banned on military basses... a wholly un-libertarian stance. the whole point of libertarianism is to avoid this sort of politician telling citizens what they can and cannot worship, do, say and feel... Just a thought.
