What a week!
Nov. 25th, 2008 04:53 pmOk So the past couple of weeks have been quite a roller coaster. I lost my phone on Tuesday of last week but I was convinced it was just somewhere in my house for the first couple of nights so I wasn't really that worried. Then I tried calling it with no luck. Oh but silly me I had turned it off in a meeting just before I lost it.
So I run through the list of places it could be. Work, somewhere on tech campus, the trolly, the bus, my car, the target. Well long story short after searching and searching I finally called CCT for the second time and the lady had my phone! She said since my phone was locked (I password protected it because I was afraid if someone stole it they would run up a bill, It's happened to me before) So On the lock out screen it has my name and address. The lady said she would have looked in the contacts to get a number but since she couldn't she was preparing a letter to mail me. So YAY I have a phone again, or I will on Friday!
Ok soooo I also lost my keys on Friday of last week. The really fucked up part is that it was like the first time in months I'd driven to work. I was parked int he pay lot. I only noticed my keys were gone after everyone had already left the building Friday afternoon. Lucky for me my coworker Matt works at arbor place mall as a second job, and that just happened to be on the way for a friend that was planning to spend the weekend with me anyway.
So I spend the weekend with
mbisclavret We went to the goth meet-up at jim and nick's in smyrna. When we got home I was zonked due to having to get up at 4am, so I prepared for bed and went to move the space heater out to the computer room for
mbisclavret however when I unplugged it there was a flash of blue lighting and half my house went dark. Bugger! Well I go out to the fuse box (thanks to whatever genius put the fuse box outside I have to trek into the freezing ass cold in my jammies) and flip the breaker. It immediately flips back. D'oh! So I go inside and try unplugging everything in my room. Still no luck... So I decided that Whatever is to be done for the rest of the evening should be done by candle light, and I go to sleepies. Poor
mbisclavret had to take a candlelit shower... how sad for her. The next day she called her electrical engineer dad, and he explained that it was probably the outlet, but I should have a professional look at it. Scince I needed light quickly I got all MacGyver and took the outlet out myself, and yep that was it. I probably need to cap those wires though.
On Sat,
mbisclavret wanted to go to kolo and get her nips done. So I rode up with her. Then I started being all envious, because I've always wanted to get my nips peireced but my stupid metal allergies... oh but wait the peircer thinks that I can get them done... the fact that I have titanium in my body already means that I shouldn't have a problem with implant grade titanium... Sweetness! So I have new pretty green shinies in my chest.
