So it's snowing.

I had expected it to start much later and had not thought I would wake at noon to find the ground covered in a white blanket. Which mostly just boils down to the fact that I had been intending to cover my beans and maybe some of my broccoli and cauliflower before the snow started. as it is I raced to get all the clear plastic bottles, cut the bottoms off and ran outside to dig my pour little snap peas out and do my best to give them there own little greenhouses.

I've been told that the broccoli and Cauliflower shouldn't have a problem brushing off this sort of weather, and while the leaves may turn brown they will be fine... oh how I hope that is true. I mean everything I read about these veggies says plant a month to two weeks before last frost date... my last frost date is March 15-21 depending on where you get it from. So planting cold weather crops at the end of feb should be a safe bet right?

beyond gardening, we have work. I'm hoping the snow gets me out tomorrow. Cold, wet and windy sounds amazingly aweful. especially when you consider that I drive around in this:

Can we say BRRRRRR! and very sick Paolina?

I also need to figure out if it's safe enough to go in to dads office and finish up the charts for Tuesday. Mostly it just appears to be slush on the roads but I am afraid after dark it will turn into black ice and I'll go careening off into some ditch and become horrible mangled. while it would get me out of work for a bit I've been through being horrible manged before and I say I could do without that again.
