Someone called while I was at work yesterday and asked if they had reached EcoVogue. I can't tell you how this made me cringe. There is so much I would have done differently, and so much feeling of... it really could have worked. I made a lot of mistakes, and the whole venture was incredibly under-funded, and I was probably 5 years or more ahead of the times... but so much of me still thinks it could have worked...

It was a lot of stress and life is often easier now that I don't have a business to run and worry about, but I put so much into it and organic has become almost mainstream now... I dunno just one of those things.

I still have old stock in my closest I can't seem to get rid of and haven't the foggiest idea of what to do with. Sometimes I think about selling it on ebay, but I HATE ebay and I'm really not sure it's worth the headache.

EcoVogue was a business I ran for about three years. It was houswears, clothing, body care, and well prettymuch everything but with an eco, reuse, organic bent. Kinda like Gaiam.com but the Slogan was "showing the world sustainible doesn't mean sacrifice" and I tried to sell things that didn't look hippi and were modern and so forth.

well one of the reasons I don't try again is that one of the mistakes I made was trying to start the business with no capital. if I do it again I won't start it unless I have funds to do it right.

And it was a Lot of stress. Though I don't thing it would have been so much if I had not been trying to start it up with about $300 a month spare cash.

If I ever do it again I want to have a real storefront where people can come try on the clothes and make-up.

But also I've just gone in a different direction. I am not trying to covience the world anymore. I just want to care my little piece of peace and maybe if I am lucky lead by example.
