So after freaking out and swearing I wouldn't get my bees if I didn't find the $200 worth of ebay gift cards I got for my birthday... I say fuck it. I want bees!!!

So today I finally gave in and called the guy in Millageville to see if maybe I could get in touch with him by phone since he wont answer my emails. And I still had no luck. So I decided that I'm not meant to get bees from him.

After doing another Google search and not coming up with anything. I was starting to despair. But then I came across a guy that is pesticide free and sells both Russians and Italians. And has walk-away hives for $175. Not bad! in fact way more like what I was looking for anyway.

Here's to hoping he answers my email!!!

Hi,
I have a friend in Decatur who keeps bees. I will ask her where she got hers and if they are responsive or not. I do not think it was millageville because it was way up 400 as I recall. Anyway she is like you in the organic pesticide free thing so her source probably is too.
Hope you have a great day!

My friend who has bees said"
Ok then I would try these sources~

http://www.beeyondwonderful.com/ They say they are currently sold out, but might have more in May.

http://www.agr.state.ga.us/mbads/Ads.aspx?CategoryID=459 This is this link to the farmers market bulletin. Lots of ads for bees and equipment.

In reality, she is a little late to try to pull together bees for this year so she would really need to kick into gear asap!
"

Do not know if that is helpful or not I just cut and pasted it from her e-mail.
Have a fun day!

thanks for checking for me. I have spoken with fatbeeman and he won't have bees until may. and I checked with gabees and they are sold out. and I know I am on the late side which is why I want to get full hives that I can walk away with... so the bees will already have comb. pollen and brood going. I would be willing to settle for a nuc because at least then I get some brood and pollen. but it is too late to start from scrach with just a hive I dump a package in. So far it looks like the earliest I could get some would be end of april... I am going to keep looking and see if I can find any, but I am starting to think I might be sol for this yeah. the only place that has bees right now appears to only have packages.
