D*con room anyonea?

Hey everyone,

I Thinking of getting room for Dragon con. I have AAA so I can get s bit of a discount from the full price rooms. I know that all the com price rooms are take, but I was able to get a room at the hilton for all of con last year this way. I just can't afford a room all to myself. Is there anyone interested in going in with me?

meh~ its the ticket prices this year. I forgot to get them earlier and this year they have jacked the prices WAY up.

Hey I'd love to say yes to this, but I need a few more details first. How much can you pay? is your friend Male/female or other? Are you ok with it if I find more roommates to share with? Are you ok with it if I don't find any more roommates to share with? And any particular hotel you want or don't want?

Hey, sorry I didn't respond earlier, I have no internet at home.

I actually had a friend who couldn't go to the con, so he transfered me his room in the Hyatt, so I now have that available.

My roommate is a guy, doesn't drink or smoke, and is monogomously married.

It would be about 100 dollars for three nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and I'll probably have at least one other person join in.

Oh wow yeah I'd be way interested. No one else has responded to my message so me getting a room alone isn't looking very likely.

I can bring my sleeping bag and camping gear and don't mind crashing on floor space if needed.

I was thinking about pitching a tent in on of the hall ways or basements *grin*

Awesome! I'll put you down. As of right now it's a king sized bed, but I'm on a waiting list for two full sized, so if that ends up being the case and you don't mind bunking with someone else, there will be bedspace available for everyone.

Kudos on grabbing a room! I know many who have yet to score one. I saw your profile in the dc community and thought you seemed familiar. Then it hit me, okc! I apologize if this comes off creepy! Soooo not intended that way. Feel free to add my lj, but I mostly use it for reading these days and rarely post. Same user name everywhere else online, if you are interested. Who knows, maybe we will see you at Dragon Con! Look for us on the new Dragon Con news show at 9am. Currently I'm pushing to call it the Dragon Con Late Night Show. :)

I haven't gotten a room yet, but I am considering it. I have a place to stay if all doesn't fall through, but as it is with semi-strangers I'd really love to get a room with friends. I know they are all out of the con prices but last year I got decent rates at the Hilton way last minute.

Have you considered booking through the web yet? I've known some folks to be very successful in doing so. I can totally understand about strangers and rooming. We were fortunate to get others from our staff in the room, and long time friends. I am just excited to have a room. Normally, I sleep up in Centennial 3 on one of the balconies to help guard our equipment, but now we have an office of sorts come con time so I get to remember what it is like to sleep on a bed once more. If I can help out in any way, just lemme know. I'll do whatever I can!
